How hard do you really have to work to get results?

On one end of the spectrum we have those at the commercial gyms sitting on machines or wasting their time on the same treadmill they have been on for the past 5 years…with no results.

On the other end of the spectrum we have people doing an insane workout of the days with the only goal being to get sore and throw-up.

The truth lies somewhere in between. You have to work your butt off to get results, but this has to be looked at over the long haul. Results only come with sustained effort. If you had to grade your workouts on a scale of 1 to 10, the person with the most 8s and 9s will win 10 times out of 9, as opposed to the person with 3s or 12s!

Recovery is important and if you smash yourself into the ground every session you will get no where. Those who have great habits in regards to sleep, nutrition, flexibility/mobility, soft-tissue work(massage or foam roller) and managing stress will recover quicker and get better results.

Be consistent first! If you are just starting then start slow and form a foundation before moving on to more advanced exercises and routines.
